The name is a little misleading; they are actually a five piece band based out of Kansas City. Fluidly blending elements of metal, hardcore, grind, and a touch of jazz, The James Dean Trio create a sound that is both unique and intense. They recorded their debut full length entitled “Getting Scary” with Lance McCurdy (Appleseed Cast, The Get Up Kids, Reggie and the Full Effect, Salt the Earth); “Getting Scary” will be available for pre-order in November at www.therecordmachine.net . Delusions of Adequency had this to say about them: “The James Dean Trio are one of the few exceptions I have encountered that seem to have created a metal/hardcore hybrid by making their convergence feel inevitable.”
